“Jamaica, a beautiful place; but not without it’s problems. One major problem we see is the lack of school supplies for children at the early childhood education level. This is the most important stage for children; the very foundation of their education. We believe that providing children with the proper tools required at the start of their educational journey will better enable them to climb the steps to success. I have seen the struggles of children in Jamaica, to get simple school supplies, such as pencils, writing books, and book bags. Imagine the agony of not owning a basic tablet or a computer; yes, this is happening today in this technological world. The teachers go above and beyond, to make their classroom environment comfortable for their students, to learn to the best of their ability. The costs for such supplies are astronomical high, making it more difficult for families to afford.
The Government tries but the system is too slow to get to these children. By the time they get to them, the world would have lost a generation of children, who would’ve have helped to “enhance the welfare of the whole human race”. We believe each one helps one. We are better together as we unite our faith and action for our children. We share the Love, which guides the future.
